Stone Mountain is a odd looking mountain just outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
It is best described as a very large, round rock sitting in virtual flat land.
Almost as if it had been a giant's ball left in the yard.
Many reasons attract people to this park. Certainly the main reason could be it's
odd occurence. But Stone Mountain also attracts fitness buffs who want to use
the climb to the top as a means of exercising. Or to enjoy some of the park's other
facilities such as the lake or camping sites. Though I think the best reason to
bring you to Stone Mountain is the view. The great view from the top of the "rock".
Even if you 'cheat' and take the cable car to the top, the views are phenomenal.
