NEURAL WAVES & PIXELS

cvdatum - cvpixels

Ihave returned, including a presence on this e-world. No FaceBook or other social media, but I will slowly reestablish myself here, adding new pictures and sharing news.

The purpose of the site is to share photographs I have captured during "events" in my life. So I add them as I visit or experience new things. Enjoy them as I enjoyed the time during which I captured them.

So, take a look around. As new items or galleries are added, they will be listed first in the Innerds Menu 'toggle' over there to the left-upper. Comments are welcomed. Whether positive or negative. Just drop me a line if you have something to express.

Scroll down to read about anything new regarding the web site and/or my doings.

Thanks for visiting.

My NEWS and updates

February 3, 2026

Doing more clean-up. I noticed the recipes page was looking a bit weird. While I was at it, I added a new recipe (and rearranged things).

February 2, 2026

I have been working on bringing these pages to current HTML standards. This includes making the pages work on mobile devices. This was not even a fantasy back when I first started creating my original pages. Now people use their mobile devices as a norm and it is a rare thing for someone to surf the web using a desktop computer.

The process has not been easy. New standards have added a lot to the front page, the material that the average person see, but the source code has changed a lot. I have had to learn a lot new code, along with implementing the new code and premise to old ideas and old code.

I have had to reinvent the vision for the pages, and adjust not only the code but my wants and expectations. Hard to reinvent something that was once very clear; reinvent something that served well and appeared just as imagined. So, like much of what I have gone through in the past 15 years, the updating of these pages has been an exercise in adaptation as well as something of a growing pain.

Naturally, as is with life in general, the process is not finished. I am not done growing, learning, adapting, and reimagining. Of course, none of this personal growth matters for a casual viewer of these pages. Maybe you have landed here by a misclick, curiosity, or whatever and now are wondering 'what now?' Well, that is my every day- misclicks, curiosity, and 'what now?'

I do have an idea of a new pictures page, but it will likely not follow my regular vacation pictures. I will start working on it soon...

My first Winter with freedom to go outside, stick my tongue out, and catch snow has been... well, without snow. There is "panic" in the air however, as forecasters are predicting snow and wintery mix for the state in the coming days.

This other picture is an AI generated toy. I've been playing with these AI generators, including some that can generate videos. Crazy stuff. These AI generated media will have little glitches and imperfections, but over all, the realism is so crazy… real.

January 1, 2026

New Year. Maybe I can take better advantage of the opportunity of a new year than I do with every new day. Every moment, be it hour, day, week, month, or year, should be exciting and welcomed with hope and joy. Hard to do that.

December 29, 2025

I spent Christmas (2025) at brother Dan's home, enjoying his, Kelly's, and Alexi's hospitality. Thank you.

Merry Christmas, 2025 and welcome the New Year, 2026.

December 24, 2025
"I may not always be mindful
but my full mind still has you in it
and right now it is remembering sharing
good things with you and hoping
you are doing well now..."

Merry Christmas (and belated Hanukkah)

Oh, I added an Eggnog recipe. The "pasteurizing"" process in the recipe does not affect taste... though it does add an extra step in the preparation. No big, I think.

I shot some video on my iPhone while at Tybee. If you have an iPhone and a Windows based PC, you may understand my difficulty trying to get the two systems to share. I would not reject getting an iMac just to save me the frustration of getting phone and PC to talk. (If you have or know someone who has a "surplus" iMac, I'd be interested. UPDATE: I have found the iMac; working on migrating to it. Thanks.)
Anyway, back in the day adding videos to web pages was not the best thing, due to slow connections, bandwidth issues, and browser compatibility troubles. Fast forward to today, videos are the thing. The question now is 'how will it look/work?'

December 16, 2025

A week away, now time to dig in and work: leaf control. Oh the joys of Autumn. But it feels good to be outside, even if it is for hours on hours with a leaf blower on my back.

December 14, 2025

I did it! The Tybee Island pictures are done and uploaded.

December 13, 2025

No pictures of my Tybee Island trip yet. Work has been keeping me away from the computer I've had a little time to add two recipes. Check them out.

December 9, 2025

Feels like I have caught a ride on a fast moving vehicle hurling me towards some unidentified destination, rushing me towards some indefinite "normal." Great, I suppose, normal is good, except for the fact that I am moving blind and fast, and not in total control.

Well, I am just getting back from a week at Tybee Island, Georgia. Yes, great, I admit. Even with the five days of cold, cold, gloomy rain, it was fantastic. As a fish (Pieces) I have been away from the ocean for way too long. Through rain and gloom I took in the ocean, its ebb and flow, the energy it radiates, that sound that reaches into the soul... I was a depleted and neglected rechargeable battery getting its first charge and reconditioning in a long time. Good stuff.

Along with that recharge, I took a lot of pictures. "Take only pictures; leave nothing but footprints." I think the hiking motto goes something like that. Likewise, I suppose, for the beach. I did that- took lots of pictures and left many footprints.

The plan is to have a page for my Tybee pictures up in the next few days... Please stand by.

December 1, 2025

Working in some editing and adding to the site between work and living. The new page and set of pictures represent my last six months. My work has been outside; very physical. After so long limited in attivity and access to the outside, I am enjoying this new life.

For now, new pictures (and new entries here) will be limited. Can't seem to find much time to sit at the computer, and as much as I like photography, the world has changed a lot in these last 15 years; photography morphing into a by-product of gadgetry, easy and at hand for all. Also, I am just now starting to aquire equipment for capturing the world around me. (The phone, though with me all the time, which is excellent for getting that special moment, isn't good enough.)

Anyway, the newest page can be found HERE.

November 30, 2025

Big gap there from this entry to my last. Some life changing events have occurred. My life took an unexpected turn. Well, it may have been coming. It has been the sort of life test that shakes one down. I probably needed a shake-down and forced change.

The experiences these last 15 years have not been all that bad. Amazing how resilient we can be. The trick, I think, is to be flexible and open to new things. And I have faced many new things. Great googly moogly!

Anyway, the gory details will wait. I had contemplated doing a blog going back to day one, following my days through the 15 years "away," but my now life is keeping me busy. For now, this will be my blog/ journal. New pictures will come as well.

June 18, 2025

Just settling back after a time away from... life.

Returning to something familiar yet very different.

No more pictures to share, for a while.

April 6, 2007
My second trip to Maui was fantastic. Now you can look at some of the pictures I took while visiting the island. Click here or use the links on the left.

The Maui trips cleaned me out of the little bit of money I had. So not likely to go anywhere for a while.

March 30, 2007
Looks like I will have room to add the pictures of my second Maui trip on here without finding a new hosting company. Jimmie at iBridge has made every attempt to keep me with iBridge including increasing my storage space. And quite considerably. Thank you, Jimmie!

So now it is up to me to get these pictures on here for all of you to see. At least those of you who didn't get the DVD of them already.

March 2, 2007
Just back from my second visit to the Hawai'ian island of Maui. I will soon have even more pictures to share. First, however, I will be looking to switch to another web hosting company. Although Ibridge has been reliable, they have not come cheap.

Not only has Ibridge not been the greatest in price but their storage limits have been meager at best. I've had to store pictures on other sites, and watching every bit of space I use. So I think it is time to move on. At the moment, Lunarpages looks to have what I am looking for in price, storage room and reliability.

February 1, 2007
Just finished the page of my Maui pictures. Yes, Maui. As in Maui, Hawaii. The island.

I spent about a week there. Took many pictures and had a very good time. It would have never happened if it were not for my friends -Charlie, Zoe, Heather and Sam. Mahalo!

Hey, I liked it so much that I will be going back in a couple of weeks. So I'll have even more pictures to share. For now, check out the ones I have ready now.

December 18, 2006
Not much new going on here. Just getting ready to say goodbye to another year. So, happy holidays to you all and a safe and fun new year.

Enjoy your holiday parties but don't over do it or you will end up on your back like Kelly (click to view) here. She is my room mate. Hot stuff, eh?

November 15, 2006
I've added more pictures to the dogs page. These are more recent so one can see how they have changed since they were pups

Nothing else to report beyond the new dog pictures. I'm still looking for work. I've gone as far as to apply in places like San Francisco and Washington state. Nothing positive as of yet. So I search on.

November 6, 2006
I've added a gallery featuring pictures of my dogs.

Okay, so not that exciting for most. But they are my kids of sorts.

November 1st, 2006
Added another set of pictures from Asheville, NC. Spent a week there again. Visting friends and enjoying the outdoors again.

Asheville keeps drawing me back. Not sure if it is the scenery around the city or the city and its people. Given that I am looking for a place to call home, Asheville may just be were I will settle.

October 31, 2006
TRICK or TREAT!

More changes to the site. Mostly cosmetic. Just changing the look a little. The old color scheme was getting old to me.

The pictures from my car trip up to Canada are all up. Enjoy.

October 4, 2006
Just settling back after a three week driving trip that took me from South Florida, through Detroit Michigan, to Quebec, Canada and back. My mother was with me from South Florida. We picked up my aunt and uncle in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. And the four of us drove on to Quebec where we spent a week at my cousin's house in Neuville, Quebec.

I had a great time despite all the driving. The fall colours made the drive through Canada much easier. Thank you goes out to my cousins and their families in Michigan and Quebec for their hospitality. Hope I can someday be as hospitable to them.

During the stay in Quebec I took many pictures. These will be added to this site soon. I am in the process of getting them ready.

February 4, 2006
I have finished loading the images and pages for some of my last few trips. These include pictures of Sedona , Arizona; Malaga , Spain; and of two hiking trips in the north Georgia mountains.

Not sure that I'll have any more pictures to add for a bit. I will be returning to South Florida by the end of the month. And will be busy with some home repairs.

I've been renting a house since I sold my house I've rented the place on a month to month bases. Not sure where I'll go next. After I finish some work in South Florida, I hope to move on to a new place out side and away from South Florida.

February 1, 2006
The house sold. Closed on it the 22 of December 2005. It sold for the asking price ($145,000) or $156,340 if you look at the paper work.

I am working on adding pictures from several recent trips. These will include the Spain trip, two sets of pictures of the Georgia mountains and some pictures from Sedona , Arizona..

May 9, 2005
The house has received very few hits. Like I thought, Georgia is just not very good for selling homes. Buying, yes. But not selling.

Eventually I will add the [few] pictures I took of my March 2005 trip to Spain (Malaga).

December 31, 2004
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Getting ready to make more changes in my life. Maybe. Contemplating another move. I guess much of it will depend on whether or not my Georgia house sells .

I may be able to flip houses better in another area. The Atlanta area simply is not condusive for house flipping. So here goes...

September 19, 2004
So I've been in Georgia for something like three months now. The weather has been absolutely perfect. Even with the rain and wind that came with the two recent storms, it has been great -warm days and cool nights. And now, it has started to cool down. Just the other day I woke up to a 58 degree, crisp air morning.

I've been keeping busy with the house. Painting, cleaning. I have replaced all the down stair's carpet with wood laminate flooring. I redid the kitchen floor. And in between the house stuff I've been playing with my nephews.

Over all, it has been a good three or so months. Even if I am starting to feel like a fish out of water. I don't want to say I miss South Florida. Maybe I just miss the ocean. Or maybe I miss the past -the stuff (memories) I left behind.

February 29, 2004
So no sooner had I found and bought a house nearer to my job, the job turned into a nightmare. One day I was telling the chief about how I was settling into the new place and how glad I was I had finally found a house. The next day she was sitting in the manager's office telling me that I was to be given a six day suspension. For some reason I took it very personal. I guess I thought that after working with someone for nearly ten years that I would at least be warned. Maybe a little talk.

Anyway, I put a For Sale sign infront of my new house. If it sells, or WHEN it sells, I will quit and move north. Something about loyalty not being worth anything. But hey THIS is what I have waiting for me in Grayson, Georgia. The picture was taken by my brother (and next door neighbor) on the morning of 25th of February 2004. Now I just need to find work there. :(

November 3, 2003
There have been no new galleries added here for some time. I have been caught up with trying to relocate closer to work. As it has happened, it has taken me nearly one full year between selling my first house and buying a new one. With a impulse buy in between.

I hope that once I have settled in the new house I will start doing some outdoor stuff again. Actually, I hope to try my 10 mile hike of Jonathan Dickenson State Park in Jupiter again. That is, as soon as it cools down enough. I'm looking for highs UNDER 50 degrees. So I may have to wait for South Florida's one week of winter to do it.

Oh, the house is a cute little two bedroom, one bath Florida style house near the Lake Worth intercoastal (Florida). The OTHER house, yup, TWO houses, is an awsone three/two with over half an acre with a great wrap around front porch -located in the town of Grayson. That is about one hour Northeast of Atlanta, Georgia.

September 8, 2002
I have reduced the number of links on the left. I thought I would consolidate some of the pages a bit.

Okay, so I haven't done much with the WEB site in a long time. It gets hard keeping up with it. Adding interesting stuff. And it is so easy to get caught up on 'life' that little things take a back seat.

I am planning another trip out to Seattle and the surrounding area in October (2002) Maybe the break will inspire me to add more content to the WEB site. At the very least it should give me more photographs to share.

Oh, I've also added a link to a list of my DVD collection . Just in case anyone wanted to know what DVDs I owned. Weird, eh? :)

March 4, 2002
Alice and Jorge's wedding pictures are up. It's a family thing. So, you can only get to them if you have the right connections. There will be no link to them here. So, if you were there, or would like to see the pictures, send me an e-mail .

I have no vacation plans or any photographic projects waiting. And what does that mean to you? Well, that I won't have any new pictures for you to look at. Though I still have some tinkering to do with the current content.

So for now, the site may look like it is sitting stagnant. But things will change. They need to.

February 6, 2002
Besides the addition of the Iowa pictures, not much has changed here. Maybe because I haven't been using the camera lately. Or because I haven't had much recreational time. Or both! In any case, the pictures from the weekend trip to Iowa are up.

Next will be wedding pictures -these may require an ID and password to access though.

December 24, 2001
Another year almost over. Who would have thunk it...welcome to 2002!

Well, not much new with the site since November 29th. I will have a page for my recent long weekend in Iowa. Stay tune for those. For now, I would like to wish all of you a happy and safe holiday season and a prosperous new year.

November 29, 2001
Most of the pictures that will be included in the Halloween in Asheville have been scanned and put up. Take a look.

November 27, 2001
All the code editing is done. The site is now frame based. And everything has been, I hope, loaded to my host ( iBridge Web Services -now 01/22/2026, dead). Now is time to start scanning in the pictures from my Halloween in Asheville.

November 23, 2001
No Asheville pictures yet. I've been working on re-doing the lay out of the pages to make them easier to edit. As they stood, any new links would have to be added to each individual page. Now, using frames, I need only edit one page when changing or adding new links. Trust me, without frames, any change would be bad.

In addition to the change to frames, I've also changed the code, the stuff most of you don't care about, so that it meets current standards. It's been a rather tedious task but one that need to be done to ensure compatibility in the future. But I'm sure it'll make no difference to you... right?

November 10, 2001
I have been hard at work [yeah, right] adding and editing stuff here. The Comments page is up. I have also cleaned up more of the code. Not that that matters to anyone surfing through here. But all in all, I've done a lot more than I thought I would.

If you do have comments or you have run into problems or errors, please DO let me know. It's not always possible to test and check everything. Besides, I'd like to hear from ya! :)

Hey, also, if you have a desire to put up you own web site, let me know. You can have it under mine as your_name.cpixles.com. Cool, eh?!

November 9, 2001
Finally finished the Boulder page. Also did my work tools page. Next I'll scan in my pictures from Asheville. Stand by for those.

November 8, 2001
Well, I've scanned in the Boulder pictures. That page should be up by the weekend. Maybe. I say maybe because I have some code cleaning up to do. And that is SUCH a pain. But anyway, the Boulder page should be finished soon. Then I'll do the page for my Halloween in Asheville plus a page of work pictures.

November 5, 2001
After having to change free web hosting providers several times over because of their demise, I've decided to get my own domain and pay a web hosting service to host the site. Hope this isn't a frivolous-self-indulgence.

October 24, 2001
Still need to scan and write up the page for my Boulder visit. I'll need to do this soon since I'll be going on vacation in Asheville, North Carolina. I suspect I'll have many pictures to add to the site.

September 27, 2001
After letting the site sit without much change for a while, I decided to recreate it. I wanted to clean the site up. Making it simpler and easier on the eyes. So, has it worked? I want the site to be attractive without being overly done or underdone. Hope it worked.
